Participation in a SALTO seminar, September 8 – 11, 2025 in Dublin, Ireland

 -

Youthnet Cyprus participated with one of its members in the Partnership-building Seminar “Detached but Not Disconnected – Responding to Disinformation, Populism & Radicalisation”, which took place 8–11 September 2025 in Dublin, Ireland

The seminar brought together youth professionals from across Europe with the aim of exchanging experiences and building partnerships around contemporary challenges affecting young people, such as disinformation, populist narratives, and the risk of radicalisation.

During the seminar, participants had the opportunity to:

  • Examine how disinformation, populism and radicalisation are affecting young people across Europe.
  • Observe practical approaches used in detached youth work to address these challenges among young people who are often disconnected from formal services.
  • Exchange tools, methods and good practices with organisations from different countries.
  • Strengthen networking opportunities and build partnerships for future European projects.
  • Explore possibilities for future cooperation through Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps programs.

The programme also included a study visit in Dublin, offering participants the opportunity to observe real-life practices of youth work carried out in community and street-based settings.

Youthnet Cyprus’ participation in this seminar contributed to strengthening the organisation’s European networking and knowledge exchange, while promoting collaboration in addressing key social challenges affecting young people today.
