Presentation Content Delivered in Schools
SustainACT: Small Actions, Big Difference presentation delivered in primary schools focused
on raising students’ awareness about food waste and the importance of adopting sustainable
habits in their daily lives. Pupils were introduced to the SustainACT project and learned why
food waste is a global issue, how it impacts the environment, and how small everyday choices
can lead to meaningful change.
The presentation included practical examples from everyday life, such as choosing
appropriate portion sizes, using leftovers wisely, and organizing the refrigerator effectively.
Students were also introduced to the concept of composting and explored simple ways to live
more sustainably both at school and at home, including recycling and reusing materials.
Through interactive “True or False” activities and short discussions, children were encouraged
to become “heroes of the planet,” understanding that consistency in small actions is the key to
building a better future.
