ABOUT US
Established in 2012, YouthNet Cyprus is a non-governmental, non-profit organization that promotes and encourages the active participation of young people, including young people with fewer opportunities at local, National, European and International level. We achieve this through partnerships with agencies and organizations in Cyprus and abroad, and participation in both national and European level.
OUR VISION
YouthNet Cyprus was initiated by a group of young people from all over Cyprus with experiences from their participation in various EU programs and their urge to respect their cultural diversity, but also enhance their knowledge in the youth field and non-formal learning. The team’s collaborative efforts aim to foster a supportive community where young individuals can develop their skills, share ideas, and initiate projects aimed at active participation, growth and connecting with nature.
OUR MISSION
The aim of YouthNet Cyprus is to communicate the knowledge for European and International Programmes to other young people, including young people with fewer opportunities. We encourage youth participation, providing opportunities to develop personally, socially and professionally. Through a variety of initiatives and projects, we empower youth to take active roles in their communities.
IDENTITY AND VALUES
YouthNet Cyprus is proudly run and managed exclusively by dedicated volunteers. We place a strong emphasis on inclusivity, focusing our efforts on young people up to 30 years old, including students and those with fewer opportunities, while also occasionally welcoming a broader range of participants to foster diversity. Our core values revolve around respecting cultural diversity, promoting personal and professional development, and encouraging active participation. By prioritizing non-formal learning and collaborative engagement, we create an environment where everyone can contribute meaningfully to their communities.
